         The global economy is undergoing a rapid digital transformation, and Nigeria is said to be in the best position to reap the benefits of the digital economy. The country’s potential is evident in its size as the biggest digital market and the leading destination in Africa. Experts also estimated that Nigeria’s digital sector could add $88 billion and 3 million jobs to the economy by 2027.

 1.         Web Developer

   A web developer designs and creates network applications and websites. They write code for programming applications, create web links and content, develop unique software and install software programs. They can also solve computer problems, debug glitches and analyze the software. Companies depend on web developers for data flow checks, which are essential in determining the organization’s strengths and weaknesses.

3. Digital marketing

    In today’s digital era, a digital marketing career is one of the most sought-after career paths. Up-skilling in this domain can help you advance in your career.

     Digital marketing is the form of marketing that leverages the internet and digital technologies, such as computers and smartphones, to connect with customers. As with other forms of marketing, its purpose is to increase brand awareness, drive sales, and promote goods, and services.

    The exponential increase of Internet users over the past two decades has led to similar increase in digital marketing efforts. Infact, approximately 62 percent of the global population is online today. A study from April, 2022 illustrates the pervasiveness of digital technology in the world with the following figures.

 – active internet users: 5 billion

– active mobile internet users: 4.32 billion

– active social media users: 4.65 billion

   Various types of digital marketing include the following:

– content marketing

4. UX Designer

User experience ( UX ) designers work to optimize the interaction between humans and products.

    Anytime you interact with a product or service, you have a user experience. This may entail navigating a mobile app, browsing a website, interacting with a physical product ( like trying out a new bicycle, or checking into a hotel or restaurant) for example.

    The term user experience ( UX ) refers to all aspects of this interaction. Think about the last time you used a new product or service, how satisfied were you with its performance? UX design seeks to make products and services easy, effective, and delightful. When you accomplish this, you earn loyal customers who’ll recommend that product or service to family and friends, increasing your customer base and sales.

     The UX designer role is to make products or services usable, enjoyable, and accessible.

    As a user experience designer, you’re responsible for the user’s overall satisfaction with a product, to make this possible, you’ll need to:

– understand the users and the brand

– conduct user research

– analyze what you’ve learned

– design

– conduct user testing and,

     Cloud engineers can have more specific roles that include cloud architecting ( designing cloud solutions for organizations), development ( coding for the cloud), and administration ( working with cloud networks).

Watching TV or listening to music on your favorite streaming services, using an online platform, or backing up your phone’s documents, pictures etc to the internet is possible due to cloud technology. For a company, it means data can be stored and backed up more easily, software updates can be rolled out on demand, and customers may be able to access their information from different devices. As a cloud engineer, you’ll work behind the scenes to keep it all running.

6. Graphics Designer

    Graphic designers use special software to create graphics like webpage images, newspaper ads, posters, media images, product labels and logos. They use editing, digital illustration and layout software to create new designs and update old designs for companies. They often work with businesses to help with their branding, and they meet with clients to define a project’s scope and present design ideas.

    The future of graphic design is going to be elevated to new heights by being fused with augmented reality and eventually, 3D printing. 7. Blockchain Developer

    Blockchain developers with the expertise to help companies explore Blockchain platforms are in high demand. Blockchain development might be the most marketable career path today because people are eager to realize all the benefits of Blockchain. These individuals require absolute attention to detail as theirs is a high ranking position. Blockchain developers are programmers who create applications for blockchain. They typically have a lot of experience working with C++, Python, and Javascript before becoming Blockchain developers.
